The competition is getting heavy on Dancing With the Stars. The semi-finals were very exciting. I am excited as well as saddened, because I want to see the outcome, but I don't want Dancing With the Stars to end!
Each Dancing With the Stars contestant had to perform two dances on tonight's semi-finals. Each performed to the best of their ability as the finals are almost upon us and a winner will be announced next week on Dancing With the Stars.
* Melissa Rycroft and Dancing With the Stars pro, Tony Dovolani were first up to bat. They danced the Quick Step.
I thought it was a flawless performance! Obviously the Dancing With the Stars judges didn't agree, their total score...28 of a possible 30.
The second dance that Melissa and Tony performed was the Cha Cha. I liked this dance better, even though I thought I saw a few mistakes. But, who am I to judge? I will leave that to the Dancing With the Stars judges! Their total score...27 of a possible 30.
Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani's total two dance score for Dancing With the Stars semi-finals, 55 of a possible 60. Not too shabby!
* Gilles Marini and Dancing With the Stars pro, Cheryl Burke, dancing the Viennese Waltz for their first dance.
This dance was sophisticated, elegant and yes, SEXY! Wow, could it get any better than this? The Dancing With the Stars judges seemed to agree with my assessment as Gilles and Cheryl received a perfect score of 30!
The Salsa was the second dance that Gilles and Cheryl performed. All I can say about it is I thought it was SIZZLING HOT! Again, the judges agreed. Another perfect score of 30 from the Dancing With the Stars judges! This two dance score of a perfect 60, will be hard to beat.
* Shawn Johnson and Dancing With the Stars professional dancer, Mark Ballas, were under the gun next, dancing the Argentine Tango.
Such talent! Does that girl have a set of legs or what? I loved their dance performance! I think this was her best dance yet! I guess I am right on target tonight, the Dancing With the Stars judges agreed with me once again. Shawn and Mark received a well deserved score of a perfect 30!
The Jive was Shawn and Mark's next challenge. I thought that they did a great job, but not quite as impressive as their first performance. Shawn is still a contender for the Dancing With the Stars win!
The Dancing With the Stars judges gave the two dancers a score of 26. The two dance score was a 56 of a possible 60. Not bad!
* The under dog and all around good guy Ty Murray and Dancing With the Stars pro Chelsey Hightower finished off this years Dancing With the Stars semi-finals with their dance of the Viennese Waltz.
I am so sorry Ty, you have improved in leaps and bounds...but you are not in the same league as the other Dancing With the Stars contenders. I think it is time to throw in the towel!
The Dancing With the Stars judges combined scores, 25 of a possible 30. The lowest score of the night.
Ty and Chelsey finished off the evening of Dancing With the Stars the semi-finals with the Samba.
Their performance of the Samba was stiff. I love Ty, he is one of my favorites. It is really a shame, Ty tries so hard. But well, the truth is the truth. The Dancing With the Stars judges said it all with their score. A 23 of a possible 30. This brings the couples two dance score to a 48 of a possible 60. So sorry Ty!
Tomorrow night, I will post the couple who were voted off of Dancing With the Stars the semi finals. I hope it's not a shocker, like last week!
