Who Won "The Biggest Loser" 2009

May 13th 2009 18:26
Who won on the hit reality TV show, "The Biggest Loser", seems to be on everyone's mind this morning! Well, I am here for you.

The winner of "The Biggest Loser" was Helen Phillips.

According to MSNBC Helen Phillips, is a 48 year old housewife, from Sterling Heights, Michigan.

Helen weighed in at 257 pounds and weighed 117 pounds at the time of "The Biggest Loser" finale. That is 140 pounds lost or a 54.7% weight loss, over one half of her total body weight.

Not only did Helen take home the winning title of "The Biggest Loser", she also took home $250,000 as well! That averages out to a little over $1,785.00 per pound lost! Quite an incentive to lose weight!

Congratulations Helen on your "The Biggest Loser" win!

Welcome to Reality TV Obsession

May 12th 2009 02:58
I want to welcome everyone to "Reality TV Obsession"! I have just taken over this domain. While the older posts, the ones before "Dancing With the Stars", are not my own, I am sure you will enjoy the read. I know I did.

I will be posting on reality TV shows of interest. Dancing With the Stars, The Bachelorette, Survivor, whatever I find interesting on any given night.

On occasion, I may write about a movie, sitcom or anything else that I may view on TV, that moves me. I promise to make all entries to Reality TV Obsession as interesting as possible. I may rant from time to time on something I find obscene, offensive or just downright wrong. Please feel free to voice your opinion!

I thank you for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed the visit!

My appreciation for the BBC has only grown over time, even though the news they post on their website comes in rancid little drops, with hardly any depth.

The television channels, though, seem like a wonderful medium for a terrific variety of shows. I say this only because I've never watched it, instead watching the BBC programmes on DVD, after they've become famous.

Perhaps my favourite would be "The Office", the mockumentary about a paper manufacturer, and the dead-end jobs of the white-collar workers.

The popularity of the show is echoed by how many version have been made: the most well-known in the US, but also in France, Germany, Brazil, and even in Quebec, where it was relabelled "Le Job".

InsertCulture has a list of the 10 Best BBC Shows, with The Office making an appearance.

In addition to dramas and comedies, they also listed the incredible nature documentaries by David Attenborough, who found out that nature was weird, wonderful and, sometimes, perverted.

From a sexual moment between two slugs:

Is that gross, or strangely hypnotic and beautiful?

How Can She Slap on Indian Reality TV

September 19th 2008 03:59
How can she slap Esha the goddess

You know, Australian Reality TV shows are hugely popular, and for good reason. They are, quite simply, the most significant breakthrough in entertainment in the last decade. Before reality TV we were all just proverbial amoebas, reproducing asexually.

I'm not here to make friends

July 14th 2008 10:09
With the explosion of reality TV, we've been forced to sit through hours worth of confessionals, when the stone-faced player tells us how it is and how it's going to be.

Reality TV gets its addictiveness from the sheer humanity on display... all the basic emotions are present: joy, anger, jealousy. Oh, how we like the jealousy

One reason I like the Internet better than TV: people are continuously modifying and mashing TV shows to make superior products.

Take, for example, the hit sitcom, Friends, featuring six conspicuously attractive friends, 3 guys and 3 girls, sitting around, not working, in a cafe by Central Park, while simultaneously being able to afford spectacular apartments in New York City

You're the One that I Want

Anyone watching this show? I saw it for the first time last night and I really liked it. Although what was up with that 17 year old girl and her eyeliner??

The basic premise is that they are looking for a guy and gal to star in the Grease on Broadway. Singing/Dancing/Acting. They've narrowed it down to 12 finalists, 6 guys and 6 girls and will start live voting like American Idol in the next week
