Spelling Bee 2009 Winner

I am not going to break down the entire ABC broadcast of the 2009 National Spelling Bee, what I am going to do, is start with the three remaining finalists and give a word by word spelling list and the outcome. Leading up to the last speller standing, as "The 2009 Scripps National Spelling Bee Champion".


1. Aishwarya Pastapur. Her 2009 spelling bee championship word was, antonomasia. She spelled correctly.

2. Kavya Shivashankar. Her 2009 spelling bee championship word was, bouquiniste. She spelled correctly.

3. Tim Ruiter. His spelling bee championship word was, oriflamme. He spelled correctly.

At this point, I would like to say that Aishwarya and Kavya are best friends, competing against each other for the national spelling bee win. The two have been best friends since they were toddlers. Now, on to the next round.

1. Aishwarya Pastapur. Her spelling bee championship word was, guayabera. She spelled correctly.

2. Kavya Shivashankar. Her spelling bee championship word was, isagoge. She spelled correctly.

3. Tim Ruiter. His spelling bee championship word was, sophrosyne. He spelled correctly.

On to the next round.

1. Aishwarya Pastapur. Her spelling bee championship word was, menhir. She spelled incorrectly.

2. Kavya Shivashankar. Her spelling bee championship word was, phoresy. She spelled correctly.


3. Tim Ruiter. His spelling bee championship word was, maecenas. He spelled incorrectly.

Kavya Shivashankar will be given one more spelling bee championship word, if she should misspell this word, the other two national spelling bee competitors will still be in the 2009 Scripps National Spelling Bee competition.

Kavya's spelling bee championship word was, laodicean. She spelled correctly! We have a 2009 Scripps National Spelling Bee winner!

The American Idol Winner

The votes are all in and The American Idol winner has been announced. The winner for American Idol 5/20/2009 is...

I have to admit that I have not been a big fan of American Idol, as my husband cannot stand the show, but I have been kept informed via the internet. As I sat on my couch this evening, listening to my husband gripe and moan about his day at work, I heard a report on my television about who one on American Idol.

Listening to my husband with one ear and listening to the TV with the other, I learned that Kris Allen was the American Idol winner. I just knew that Adam Lambert was going to be the American Idol champion! I had been hoping all season, now I am disappointed. Both were talented...I just thought that Adam should have won on American Idol!

I have to say, regardless of my opinion, congratulations to Kris Allen on his well deserved win on American Idol!

You can bet next season, I will be watching....each and every episode of American Idol. I will not be deprived of this opportunity! My husband will just have to look at something...I think you know what most men look at...on the internet! I will be watching American Idol!

Dancing With the Stars the Finale 5/19/2009; THE WINNER IS...

Who will be voted this seasons Dancing With the Stars Champion?


I found Dancing With the Stars, the finale to be very exciting. The entire two hours were jam packed with suspense, laughs, triumph and heart break. Not to mention the Dancing With the Stars, the finale, guest star, Lady Gaga, who favored us with two of her hit tunes. "Just Dance" and "Love Game", what a performance!

Dancing With the Stars, the finale, then showcased each of their "star" contestants, who have been voted off in the past weeks of season eight of Dancing With the Stars. If these ladies and gents had of danced the way they did on tonight's Dancing With the Stars, the finale, things might have turned out a little different for them...maybe.

The Roast Master General, Jeffery Ross, roasted the final three Dancing With the Stars finalists, along with the "stars" who have been voted off. I think Jeffery conducted the roast perfectly. A few of the Dancing With the stars former contestants, as well as at least one of the three finalists, were at least offended, if not downright mad.

Jeffery Ross was a contestant on Dancing With the Stars, season seven, but was voted off early in the season.

The winner of the professional dancer competition was announced. The winner will return for season nine of Dancing With the Stars as a professional dance instructor. The winner is...Anna Dimitrova. Congratulations Anna!

Time for the final Dancing With the Stars dance, in which the judges alone will be voting. This score will count toward 50% of each contestants overall two night, three dance score.

Shawn Johnson and Dancing With the Stars professional dancer, Mark Ballas, dancing the Cha Cha. All I can say about this dance is...WOW!!! When Shawn started on season eight of Dancing With the Stars, she appeared to be a scared little girl. Look at Shawn now, a confident and poised woman!

The Dancing With the Stars judges score, a perfect 30! Shawn's two night, three dance score, 88 of a possible 90.

Melissa Rycroft and Dancing With the Stars professional dancer, Tony Dovolani, dancing the Samba. Well, this was another WOW moment! I think that this is the best performance that I have seen from Melissa since she began on Dancing With the Stars!

The Dancing With the Stars judges score, another perfect score of 30! Melissa's two night, three dance score, 86 of a possible 90.

Gilles Marini and Dancing With the Stars professional dancer, Cheryl Burke, dancing the Argentine Tango. Absolute perfection! Smooth and flawless.

The Dancing With the Stars judges score, yet another perfect score of 30...hum. Gilles two night, three dance score, 88 of a possible 90.

The moment we have all been waiting for. The Dancing With the Stars couple with the lowest score, who will be leaving in third place is...Melissa Rycroft and Dancing With the Stars pro, Tony Dovolani. Sorry guys!!!

The couple who will be leaving Dancing With the Stars in second place is...Gilles Marini and Dancing With the Stars pro, Cheryl Burke. Sorry Gilles, you were my favorite! Sob, sniff, sniff. Wiping my eyes with a tissue!

Dancing With the Stars Trophy
This photo of the coveted Dancing With the Stars trophy was taken from my TV, with my cellphone on tonight's Dancing With the Stars program.


Dancing With the Stars the finals aired tonight on ABC. The Dancing With the Stars final three contestants performed 2 dances. First a Pasa Doble "face-off", where the three remaining Dancing With the Stars contestants, danced the Pasa Doble. The dance started with all three couples performing the same dance steps, then individually performing their own Pasa dance style. In the end the three came together again, as a group. The second dance that the final three competitors were required to perform was the "freestyle dance". This dance style is my favorite! With the freestyle competition, there are NO rules and no holds barred

Shawn Johnson has no reason to pout as she has made it to the Dancing With the Stars finals, which will air tonight on ABC. Will she win? Hard to tell. Shawn Johnson is up against some pretty stiff competition, who want the title for themselves

The Bachelorette, Jillian Harris

I was thoroughly disgusted with Jason Mesnick's choice on "The Bachelor". Obviously his choices were incorrect. This is more than likely the reason that Melissa Rycroft, will emerge as the winner on Dancing With the Stars!

That is all beside the point! Jillian Harris should have been The Bachelor's choice. I really think that ABC has a control on what the outcome will be

Dancing With the Stars 5/11/2009 The Semi-Finals

The competition is getting heavy on Dancing With the Stars. The semi-finals were very exciting. I am excited as well as saddened, because I want to see the outcome, but I don't want Dancing With the Stars to end!

Each Dancing With the Stars contestant had to perform two dances on tonight's semi-finals. Each performed to the best of their ability as the finals are almost upon us and a winner will be announced next week on Dancing With the Stars

Dancing With the Stars: May 5, 2008

Week nine of Dancing With the Stars really shocked me. I know that the competition is getting fierce. Each of the final five were putting their all into their Dancing With the Stars dance routine, in hopes of impressing the judges and the Dancing With the Stars "fans" at home, so that they would come out on top and be chosen to compete in next weeks Dancing With the Stars semi-finals.

I was not prepared for Lil' Kim to be voted off of Dancing With the Stars the Results! No, she was not one of my favorites, but she was more talented that Ty Murray! It seems as if Dancing With the Stars no longer bases the status of one couple over the other, solely on talent! I suppose the blame should not be laid upon Dancing With the Stars, but on the viewers who cast their vote
