Reality TV Obsession - March 2009

Steve Wozniak: Why?

March 26th 2009 04:15
I just cannot believe that Steve Wozniak was voted to stay for another week on ABC's Dancing With the Stars! Steve Wozniak is not a ballroom dancer or any type of dancer for that matter.

Why do people pick a person, such as Steve Wozniak, that has absolutely no dancing ability, as a favorite to stay on a program like Dancing With the Stars, which by the way is a dancing competition? The person whom is the best dancer, should be the person that is chosen to continue to compete! This being the case...why was Steve Wozniak voted, by the public, as a favorite?

Is this phenomenon due to Steve Wozniak's sexy body or perhaps his hansom face? Maybe Steve Wozniak performs his dances better on others TV set? Perhaps I need to get myself some glasses, cause I am obviously missing something! Oh by the way, my eyes are good enough to see that Steve Wozniak, is not sexy!

At least on last seasons Dancing With the Stars the contestant, (which should have been voted off a lot sooner), Cloris Leachman, was entertaining. Steve Wozniak only complains of injuries in hopes of gaining sympathy votes, and that smile that is continuously on his face just kind of freaks me out.

Well next week on Dancing With the Stars, there will be a double elimination, surely Steve Wozniak will be voted off at that time.

Dancing With the Stars had two dancers that bombed, during last nights third competition of season 8. One was a "star" competitor, the other a so-called Dancing With the Stars "professional dancer", who wasn't performing in a professional manner.

Steve Wozniak bombed with his dance routine on last nights Dancing With the Stars. He may be a computer genius, but he is no ballroom dancer. His performance on Dancing With the Stars last night proved that fact. A man of his age and size should never attempt to try a dance move called "the worm".

Don't get me wrong, Steve has a great attitude. I love the way he smiles through it all, even when the Dancing With the Stars judges gave their scores and comments. Which by the way, were not kind and Steve's total score of a 10, is the lowest score ever given in Dancing With the Stars history! Steve may dance his last dance during tonight's Dancing With the Stars Results show.

The next dancer to bomb was Dancing With the Stars "professional dancer", Chelsey Hightower, who is paired with the rodeo star, Ty Murray. This is Chelsey's first season with Dancing With the Stars, who knows, it may be her last! Many performances like the one last night and it will be.

During Ty and Chelsey's dance routine, Chelsey fell flat on the floor! I am a Dancing With the Stars fanatic but this is the first time I have seen a "professional" Dancing With the Stars dancer make such a monumental mistake! I was shocked. At least her fall didn't affect Ty's scores from the Dancing With the Stars judges. It may have helped. The judges commended Ty for his professionalism, with handling Chelsey's fall.

Melissa Rycroft may have been dumped by The Bachelor, Jason Mesnick, but she was picked up by Dancing With the Stars! Two vacant spots were created when Jewel and Nancy O'Dell had to withdraw from the Dancing With the Stars competition, due to injuries they both sustained during training. Melissa Rycroft was chosen to replace Nancy O'Dell, Melissa was paired with Dancing With the Stars professional dancer, Tony Dovolani.

Melissa Rycroft did remarkably well on her first dance on Dancing With the Stars, considering the fact that Melissa had only 48 hours of training, to learn her dance routine. Melissa and Tony earned a total combined score of 23 from the Dancing With the Stars judges. Their score was next to the highest score of the evening, the highest score being 24.

Melissa Rycroft sure got over Jason very quickly, I guess dancing on Dancing With the Stars must be a wonderful form of therapy!
